Celebrating the Spooky Season!
This year, the big update aligned perfectly with the Nightveil Hallow event, both on the calendar and aesthetically. I’m sure you’ve all seen some spectacular sights in Nighthaven and have some stunningly stylish skins to show off. So, here at the Organ, we have decided to host a Halloween Costume Contest, to showcase all that New World talent.
Prizes
It wouldn’t be a competition without prizes and while we don’t have the ability to give out Marks of Fortune or Transmog tokens, we can award cold hard gold for the winning entries.
- Winner – 50,000 gold
- People’s Choice – 25,000 gold
- Runners up – 25,000 gold to share (5,000 gold each)

Head to our lost and lonely Utopian Organ Discord and look for the Halloween Costime Contest 2025 post in the #events-and-competitions forum.
Post your image and include your in-game name and any commentary. Remember, other players can vote on your image for the People’s Choice Award, so this is your opportunity to convince them to choose you. You may also share your online channels along with your submission.
Since this is a costume contest, you’ll also need to explain your theme. For example, I’m dressed up as a Princess in the cover image of this article.

Some inspiration
Your outfit doesn’t have to be spooky, and could be character themed, like Mario or Spiderman. You could also choose to take on a more broad concept, like Wizard or Knight. Creativity is encouraged and as long as you can make a connection to a theme, your entry is valid. This image of Thor by JSBU is a fine example of a thematic costume.
The Rules
- Competition opens 24th October 9:00 AEST and closes 30th October 23:59 AEST.
- Winners will be announced on the 31st of October, revealed live on Narokstar’s stream, as well as announced in discord and posted on the Organ.
- Anyone can enter. If you enter from any server other than Delos, we will be unable to provide prizes.
- Prizes: 50,000 gold first prize; 25,000 gold People’s Choice prize; 5,000 gold each for 5 runners up.
- First place and runners up will be judged based on these qualities:
- Costume theme, recognisability, and cohesion.
- Quality of screenshot; lighting, detail, composition.
- Location of screenshot; relation to costume in theme or aesthetics.
- Hot tip: turn your HUD off for the screenshot (the default keybind is F10).
- People’s choice will be chosen based on the total amount of votes given in the discord thread.
- Votes may be cast once per person.
- Only :white_check_mark: counts as a vote – use other emojis to show your appreciation of more entries.
- Judges: winners will be chosen by Lish and Landi.
- We do not take bribes.
- Editing of your screenshot is allowed and encouraged, improve your image however you like.
- You may have someone else take the screenshot in order to capture an angle and pose unlimited by the self-view. It’s up to you if you share the prize money with them.
- Prizes will be delivered in game to the player character who submitted the image. If the player is unable to receive the prize within one week of the end of the contest, the prize is forfeit. It is the player’s responsibility to spell their character name correctly in their entry.
- Anti-discrimination. Enemies of Don’t Die Alone are permitted to enter and will not be discriminated against on a personal basis. All entries will be judged on their own merit and not that of the player entering.
- Use of images. All images submitted may be used by the Utopian Organ for illustration or promotional purposes on our website and all social media channels, including but not limited to, X, YouTube, Discord, Instagram.
- One entry per person, so choose your costume wisely.
