Dear Fiona,

I have HAD it! After giving this game 2,500 hours of my life and spending millions in gold to try and craft something worth using in PVP, all I got was a lousy Great Axe. Not to be discouraged, I spent 3 hours a day for 25 days to get 50 Golden Scarabs and rolled 50 bows with them. Forty-nine were rubbish, because no-one uses bows in mutations, so I couldn’t even sell them. I got 38k for the one semi-decent bow I spent about 600k worth of materials crafting.

What should I do?

Yours,

Penniless and Miserable

Dear Penniless and Miserable,

I’m so sorry to hear that crafting has been tough on you. The random number generator aspect of crafting is, indeed, a curse upon the New World landscape, and there are many ways it could be improved.

That said, you only have control over your own actions and not those of anyone else. Did you perhaps reflect upon your previous crafting experience and the knowledge of various weapon usage and popularity before sinking all your resources into one weapon type? Maybe rolling 50 bows wasn’t your smartest move.

Next time, you could sell your resources and spend your gold on someone else’s luck.

Warm regards,

Fiona
