The adventure begins!
Once you’ve made your character and selected a world, you’ll be faced with a beginner’s tutorial introducing you to the basic game mechanics. Just follow through and do what it says. If this is not your first time here, or you’re not a fan of cinematics, you can skip through most of them. If it’s all new, sit back and enjoy the story.
Hot tip: You can skip the tutorial pretty much as soon as you get on the boat. After you have pressed each of the attack keys, you can hit ESC and select Skip Tutorial from the Settings menu.

You've landed on the beach - now what?
Spoiler: your ship is wrecked and you surface on the shores of Aeternum. This is where the game really starts.

Main Story Quest
Almost immediately, you’ll see a big quest marker and a guy telling you to collect flint and wood from bushes so you can make a knife to skin a pig. Get used to this style of quest marker – you will follow the main story quest all the way through to max level. As it’s a chain quest that unlocks a zone and some great gear toward the end, you really shouldn’t skip it. But how quickly you progress is up to you …
