The Cyclops are Back!
The Legacy of Crassus is a World Boss event, where the server works together to defeat two corrupted cyclops brothers, Lucanus and Decimus, and their minions. Join in to earn unique annual rewards – gear, tools, furniture items, and consumables.

- Runs from March 11 to 31, 2025.
How to find the Cyclops Brothers
Legacy of Crassus locations will pop up on your map in Brightwood, Ebonscale Reach, Mourningdale, and Brimstone Sands.
Look for the red outlined icon with a legionairre helmet on it, or keep an eye out for a raid group forming in Recruitment chat – “x Event” or “x Crassus”.
The Rewards
Each time you complete the event, you’ll receive a Normal box, and three times a day, you will receive a Bonus Box.
The Bonus boxes contain:
- 700GS Named Item
- 15 Dark Matter
And a chance of the following:
- 710GS Named item (30% chance, 1 per day or week*)
- A second 700GS Named Item (33% chance)
- Golden Legion Pickaxe (2.5% chance, 1 per event)
- Cyclops Lucanus Statuette (2.5% chance, 1 per event)
- Cyclops Decimus Statuette (2.5% chance, 1 per event)

This year we see the same Legacy of Crassus items but with a twist – once per day you have a chance to receive a 710 version of the item. It appears that the third perk is still random, but as there are no upgrade recipes attached to the 710GS versions, it looks like you won’t be able to choose what that perk is. Not sure what I’d prefer – a 700GS version of an item with a third perk of my choice, or 710GS with a random perk.
Pity Rolls
On the 8th box, you will get the statuettes, pickaxe and 710GS item if you haven’t received them yet.
Normal Boxes
Don’t disregard the normal boxes, either. As noted on the r/newworldgame subreddit, this is a good opportunity to pick up rare skins for your transmog collection. Each box will contain:
- Random weapon or armor (90% chance)
- Special Named item from the Brimstone Sands or Greater Aeternum loot pool (10% chance)
- Obsidian Gypsum
- Craft mods
- Consumables
