The Earth is Angry
Honestly, who could blame it? However, we’ll get our chance to group up again to defeat this world boss and earn some pretty decent rewards. The new logging axe is a nice one for the collection and the 715 gear in the major caches have some decent perks and might be good to fill out new sets with.

Where's the Spriggan?
You can find the Spriggan in Brightwood, Ebonscale Reach, Mourningdale, and Brimstone Sands.
Look for the icon on the map and post “X Event” or “X Spriggan” to get an invite to the Raid and see where everyone is.
If the icon is pulsing, someone is at the event.
Activate the Braziers
When you get to the Spriggan event spawn, you’ll see some braziers around the edge. If you activate these, you’ll get a boost in your damage that will help you in the fight. To get a brazier started, you’ll need:
- 10 Ironwood each
If you interact with an activated brazier, you’ll get the Brambleweaver empower buff, which lasts for 40 minutes. Make sure you get the buff so you can do big damage. All three braziers need to be lit for the Spriggan event to start.
The Fight!
- Light the 3 Braziers
- Withstand 3 minutes of Angry Earth waves
- Kill the 4 Shaman
- Kill the Spriggan
The Spriggan is much like Zygoramet with the swinging branch arm, but he doesn’t roll up into a ball and regain health. Watch the floor for poison puddles and stay out of them. The main challenge is that the boss has lots of health, so it usually takes a lot of people to take him down. That’s why the Brazier buff is so useful. Once he’s dead, you’ll get your reward.
Daily Bonus
Each day you can kill the Spriggan 3 times for bonus loot in the Major Spriggan Spoils:
- High-end Vineborne Weapon – 715 gear score – Sundering stacks, Enchanted, random perk
- High-end Vineborne Armor – 715 gear score – Health, Freedom (or Vital Synergy if chest armour), random perk
- 25 Dark Matter
- 725G Named item (random chance)
- Fungalthorn Logging Axe (random chance)
- Spriggan Flame Brazier schematic housing item (2% chance – increases slightly after each roll)
Named Items
These are the same named items as previous years, with a Gear Score increase to 725. The chance to drop seems fairly low, so don’t get your heart set on collecting them all. If you do get one, you can change the final perk at the gypsum kiln. However, right now it looks like it’s downgrading the item to 700GS, so maybe wait until they fix that bug (or try it and let me know if it’s just a display error :P)
- Mountain Shaker War Hammer – Refreshing Mighty Gavel, Keenly Empowered, Random perk
- Burnweaver Musket – Flame Attunement, Vorpal, Random perk
- Blazing Bush Hook Spear – Flame Attunement, Bleeding Sweep, Random Perk
- Forest’s Shadow Void Gauntlet – Keenly Jagged, Refreshing Rupture, Random perk
- Bramblehelm Light Headwear – Health, Arboreal Conditioning
- Trailblazer’s Legguards Light Legwear – Health, Shirking Energy
What if I kill more than three?
After you’ve got your three daily bonus, you can keep killing the Spriggan for the Minor Spriggan Spoils cache with the following rewards:
- Rare or above procedural weapon or armour (this mean it rolls with random perks) – 700GS
- Various reagent resources
- Health, mana, etc consumables
- 1 Obsidian gypsum (up to 3 max per day)
What about the Fancy Glowy Potted Tree?
Yeah, I was excited about that too, when I saw it on the splash screen. Sadly, it’s not listed as possible loot from the caches and appears to have no source according to the database – Spriggan Sapling. I haven’t received one from the event yet, if you have then please comment below or send me a message.
