Weapon Builds

One of the most debated topics in New World is what build is best. For new players, this is even more confusing, because there are degrees of nuance in each build. It’s made more difficult by the fact that most of the population is at end-game, so the build information you might find is beyond your experience level and budget.

This collection of build information seeks to cover the full range of builds, from early leveling weapon suggestions to end-game builds crafted by elite players. The information is sourced from a range of players, to provide diversity and cover different opinions.

It is important to note, that there is no one way to play any weapon, you need to find what works with your own playstyle and resources. But hopefully the experience of the players here will help.

Build Categories

All builds have been tagged, so you can browse them by clicking on a tag in the list below.

Difficulty

We have tagged the builds into three categories based on how difficult the mechanics are to master. Just because a build is Easy doesn’t mean it’s ineffective. It’s actually usually smarter to choose an Easy or Intermediate build, because it means you will perform better.

It’s good for beginners to start with Easy builds and work up if you want to. Or just stick with the Easy ones if you’re happy.

The three difficulty categories are:

Elite

These are builds submitted by players who perform well in end-game content and consistently score high on M3 Leaderboards, Invasion, OPR, or War result boards. There may be a high degree of player skill required to make these builds work well.
